About StringIt
StringIt is a platform that connects tennis players with independent racket restringing shops. We provide technology to help shops manage their workflow and help customers track their orders.
Your account
When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
How orders work
StringIt facilitates orders between you and independent stringing shops. When you place an order, your contract is with the shop, not with StringIt.This means the shop is responsible for:
- The quality of the stringing work
- Pricing and payment terms
- Turnaround times
- Refunds and disputes
We provide the platform, but we are not a party to the contract between you and the shop.
Payments
Payment arrangements are between you and the stringing shop. Shops may accept payment through the app, in person, or through other means at their discretion.
Loaner rackets
Some shops offer loaner rackets while yours is being strung. If you borrow a loaner racket, you are responsible for returning it in good condition. You may be liable for damage or loss.
Our liability
StringIt provides a platform service. We are not responsible for:
- The quality of work performed by stringing shopsDisputes between you and shops
- Loss or damage to your rackets while in a shop's possession
- Shops' business practices, pricing, or policies
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you have paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service
- Impersonate another person or entity.
Intellectual property
The StringIt name, logo, and all content we create are our property. You may not use our branding without permission. Any content you provide (such as racket photos) remains yours, but you grant us a licence to display it within the service.
Termination
You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or for other legitimate business reasons, with notice where practical.
Changes to these terms
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
